Elders Gift print (24″x36″)

In the Snoqualmie community our Elders come first, which is why I’m dedicating this piece to all of our Elders. You will see representations of cedar weaving in the boarder, beaded patterns, and a cedar rose done in Salish patterns with shawl fringes around it. Growing up close to the elders in our community, you see first hand the love for our culture and the connection it brings to us as tribal people. It makes me think of all the cultural crafts our elders put their love into making, teaching, and gifting. Putting our Elders first, and gift giving are both big parts of our culture. This piece is way of showing my deep appreciation for our elders and all they have given me.
