Lushootseed Medicinal Ornament

These cedar cut ornaments with a metallic painted back wish a Merry Christmas in
Lushootseed, and are representative of some vital plants commonly used for medicinal purposes. These plants include Cottonwood, Devils Club, Elderberry and cedar.

Lushootseed is a primary language spoken by the indigenous people of the Salish and Puget Sound regions. Our Snoqualmie community commonly uses the southern dialect.
